What is an EICR and do you need one?
Carried out by a qualified electrician, like ours at Hertz-Electrical, an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) ensures that all electrics installed at any property (including private or rented homes, businesses and commercial buildings) are safe and meet national regulations.
You should have an EICR carried out every five years. Is yours up-to-date?
Having tested your electrical equipment, our team will issue you with an EICR, that you should keep until the next inspection date. This will detail the overall condition of the electrics on-site as well as any remedial work if required.
Domestic Property Landlords
If you are the landlord of a domestic property, then it is a legal requirement for you to obtain an EICR.

If you are a commercial property landlord, then having an up-to-date EICR shows that you have complied with the Health and Safety Act (1974), as well as Electricity and Work Regulations (1989).
